I'm a 25-year-old from Tacoma, Washington, and a furniture installer. I ride an '06 Suzuki GSXR 1000. While out riding one day, I got run over by a Pierce County Transit Bus. I was dragged a half a block underneath the front. My bike was practically totaled, my left leg broken, and my right ankle dislocated. I had to undergo major surgery to have a plate and eight screws put in my leg. I was unable to work, walk or drive, I had no income and no help. I tried every option available. My landlord was about to evict me. I was a day from being homeless.

The Down Rider Foundation saved my life. They gave me the help I would not have received otherwise and paid the bills I could not pay myself.
