Testimonials

"To a motorcyclist his bike is not just a machine, it's his life. When a biker is stripped of his motorcycle due to an accident, he loses more than just his transportation. In my situation it took almost everything. My name is Justin Southern and here is my story.

I'm a 25-year-old from Tacoma, Washington, and a furniture installer. I ride an '06 Suzuki GSXR 1000. While out riding one day, I got run over by a Pierce County Transit Bus. I was dragged a half a block underneath the front. My bike was practically totaled, my left leg broken, and my right ankle dislocated. I had to undergo major surgery to have a plate and eight screws put in my leg. I was unable to work, walk or drive, I had no income and no help. I tried every option available. My landlord was about to evict me. I was a day from being homeless.

The Down Rider Foundation saved my life. They gave me the help I would not have received otherwise and paid the bills I could not pay myself. I was able to keep my apartment and get the medical treatment I needed. Thank you to everyone involved in the Down Rider Foundation past, present and future."
